Did you happen to catch the discussion between Peter Thiel and Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, that recently happened at Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech in Aspen, CO? The discussion and debate was to be focused on whether or not technology has improved human existence over the last 30 years. Schmidt argued that technology had undoubtedly made thousands of advances that have improved the quality of life; however, Thiel said he believed technology was rapidly stagnating because it had “lost touch with the real world”. Thiel added:
Google has $50 billion in cash, and it has no idea how invest that money in technology effectively….
